With this expansion, HGTV Home® by Sherwin-Williams now offers nine primer product lines, enhancing the brand’s comprehensive paint portfolio and offering customers dedicated primer options to support unique projects.

 

With this expansion, HGTV Home® by Sherwin-Williams brings new depth to its product assortment, offering targeted solutions for stain-blocking, adhesion, restoration and moisture resistance. The launch builds on the primer offerings introduced in 2023 and further reinforces the brand’s commitment to providing versatile, high-quality products that elevate every stage of the painting process.

  • Mold & Mildew Primer (available in 1-gallon size and now also available in quart size and aerosol): High-moisture areas like bathrooms and kitchens require extra care and attention. The Mold & Mildew Primer is ideal for high-humidity and high-moisture areas as it contains an EPA-registered mildewcide to prevent mold and mildew growth on the dried primer film.
  • Oil-Based Power Primer Extreme (available in quart, 1-gallon and 5-gallon sizes, and now also available in aerosol): This high-hiding formula blocks common household stains like water, smoke, tannin and grease. Designed for multi-surface application, it covers previous colors and provides a mold- and mildew-resistant finish, making it a convenient solution for sealing stains.
  • Restoration Primer (available in 1-gallon and 5-gallon sizes): Specially designed for restoration and disaster recovery projects, this primer and sealer blocks water and smoke stains while helping to neutralize related odors. Its excellent adhesion ensures a strong bond to previously painted drywall and a variety of interior and exterior surfaces.
